2027 Academic Partnerships Annual Meeting

The Western Academic Leadership Forum (Forum) and the Western Alliance of Community College Academic Leaders (Alliance) are thrilled to invite you to the 2027 Academic Partnerships Annual Meeting! We hope you’ll join us at Metropolitan State University in Denver, CO from April 14-16, 2027, for this exciting gathering of senior academic leaders from across the WICHE region.
The Forum and the Alliance are membership organizations housed within the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Each organization serves as a collaborative network of chief academic officers and other senior academic leaders across the WICHE region, which includes Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaiʻi, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the U.S. Pacific Territories and Freely Associated States (Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, and American Samoa).
Higher education is experiencing a period of profound transformation as institutions respond to changing student needs, evolving workforce expectations, technological innovation, shifting public policy, and increasing demands for institutional agility and accountability. This annual meeting brings together chief academic officers and other senior academic leaders to share strategies, explore emerging ideas, and learn from one another’s experiences in navigating this complex landscape. Through conversations that span leadership, academic innovation, student success, faculty excellence, and institutional partnerships, we will examine how colleges and universities can strengthen their missions, expand opportunity, and shape the future of higher education in the West.
