The University of Alaska is searching for its next Chief Academic Officer.
With its three independently-accredited universities and their 13 associated community campuses, the University of Alaska inspires learning, and advances and disseminates knowledge through teaching, research, and public service, emphasizing the North and its diverse peoples. More than 20,700 full- and part-time students are enrolled system-wide, studying 500 unique degree, certificate or endorsement programs. Study areas include short-course workforce training, associate degrees, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as doctoral programs.
The Chief Academic Officer serves as a member of the president’s executive team and provides academic leadership to the President, Board of Regents and system office. This position works with the universities’ academic, student services and research leadership to shape, promote and leverage work across the system. The position is based in the system office in Fairbanks.
