Completion Strategies in the West: Workforce Alignment Strategies
A central finding of the landscape analysis was that states in the West appear to have shifted the framing of priorities from attainment goals to a focus on providing learning opportunities, including for-credit and noncredit pathways, that align with state workforce and economic development goals. Across the region, states are investing in workforce alignment initiatives and expanding short-term credentials and work-based learning to better support students’ career readiness and meet state workforce and economic goals.
