Caitlin Lippitt

Caitlin Lippitt, Ph.D., is a senior lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of New Mexico. Lippitt leads Elevate Gen Ed, a faculty-led initiative advancing general education through skill-based learning, digital badges, and experiential approaches that strengthen curriculum innovation and student success. She serves as a University Innovation Alliance fellow and chair of the Faculty Senate Teaching Enhancement Committee, where she supports faculty development and evidence-based teaching practices. Her work advances cross-college collaboration and sustainable academic change. She received a B.A. in geography, an M.S. in geographic information science, and a Ph.D. in geography.
