The Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRISS) at Colorado State University seeks a visionary leader to serve as Director. This full-time, twelve-month administrative professional position reports to the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Liberal Arts.
IRISS empowers research teams and partners to tackle complex challenges through innovative applied social science. The Director will:
- Shape and execute a bold strategic vision for the Institute.
- Build powerful partnerships across CSU’s colleges, research centers, and community stakeholders.
- Expand service areas such as evaluation research and the science of team science.
- Cultivate external collaborations with state and federal agencies (e.g., USDA, NIH, NOAA, CDC, USGS) and nongovernmental partners in Northern Colorado and beyond.
- Secure funding and drive initiatives that strengthen CSU’s national profile in applied social science research.
We seek an established social science leader with a record of collaboration, networking, and team building who can inspire researchers at all career stages.
This is a three-year renewable appointment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. by the start date.
