Pilot Project

State Profiles

The participating institutions in the Passport project include systems in two of the pilot states, North Dakota and Utah, and pairs of institutions (two-year and four-year) in California, Hawaii, and Oregon. This structure allowed us to test out the application process, and work with faculty to identify the learning outcomes for three lower-division areas (oral communication, written communication, and qualitative literacy) and specify the proficiency level criteria for transfer in each area. All states and institutions were volunteers.
