About WICHE ICE : Leadership

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee consists of the WICHE ICE Director and six individuals elected to serve a one-year term by the members of the Steering Board at the ICE annual meeting.  The Executive Committee meets by conference call at the discretion of the Chair.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Executive Committee

  • Chair—serves as the official representative of the Steering Board, sets the agenda and convenes its meetings, appoints committees, and works closely with the director on implementing policies and procedures approved by the Board.
  • Vice Chair—supports in the Chair in his leadership role and acts in his place when the Chair is not available. The Vice Chair usually assumes the role of Chair at the following annual meeting.
  • At-Large Representatives—two members are elected to represent the membership as a whole on matters that may or may not be taken to the full Board for consideration due to their timeline.
  • Forum Liaison—provides updates on ICE activities to the Western Academic Leadership Forum whose predecessor (the Northwest Academic Forum) founded WICHE ICE and acts as the liaison between the two groups for future activities.
  • Past Chair—provides historical perspective and advice on matters requiring continuity in decision making.
