James Berg is the Interim Director of Communications for WICHE and brings years of marketing, branding, and leadership experience to the organization. Since obtaining his undergraduate degree in journalism and mass communications (minors in psychology and speech communications), Berg has made a career serving organizations with purpose. His professional background encompasses experience with: higher education; conferences and events; municipal outreach; creative design and direction; diversity, equity, and inclusion; staff culture enhancement; organization-wide process, prioritization, and procedure refinement; and a Ducktorate from the Disney Institute. He is a servant leader, courageous ally, lyrical linguist, process architect, creativity champion, and lifelong learner.
Candy Allen is WICHE’s senior graphic designer, with responsibilities including: designing and pre-press formatting of WICHE printed documents; designing logos and layouts for new initiatives; designing and producing presentations for the president and others; in-house printing of small-run jobs on a dedicated quality printer; maintaining staff files for business cards, photos, and website updates; advising staff on software use, style, color use, and other information pertaining to documents; and assisting with updates to the WICHE website. She graduated from Suffolk College in Ipswich, England, with a National Diploma in Graphic Design and worked in England as an in-house designer for Guardian Royal Exchange and Axa Insurance companies, British Telecom, and a display and exhibit company before moving back to the U.S. and joining WICHE in 2000.
