Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources

WICHE is closely monitoring the outbreak of “SARS-CoV-2,” and the disease it causes, which has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”). To inform and facilitate your response to a rapidly changing situation, WICHE has compiled the following set of resources, which will be updated as new information becomes available.

Course Exchange Catalog — Searchable catalog listing members’ courses by term and by institution with seats available to other ICE members. Course descriptions, syllabi, and instructor vita are included.

Course Quality Policy — ICE policy on quality assurance for courses offered on the Exchange. The statement was developed by the Course Quality Taskforce and approved by the Steering Board.

Database User Manual — Step-by-step instructions for listing and deleting courses in the Course Exchange Catalog, requesting and granting seats, and supplying and retrieving rosters and grades.

Getting Started — Checklist of steps for engaging in ICE from inquiry to institutionalization.

Glossary — List of commonly used words and those with special meaning in ICE operations.

Implementation Guide — Provides more detail about how to implement processes outlined in the Operations Manual including prospective responsibilities for staff at three levels.

Operations Manual — Provides background on establishing ICE; defines roles and responsibilities for WICHE and for ICE members as Enrolling Institutions and Teaching Institutions; also includes by-laws, descriptions of other management procedures, and resource documents.
