The registration deadline for all attendees is April 10. Please note: No on-site registration will be available.
All attendees must register for the meeting including speakers and each WALF member’s official representative for whom the registration fee is waived.

From Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, head South on Departures toward South Terminal Loop (0.2 miles). Continue South on Terminal Loop (0.4 miles). Continue to West International Airport Road (1.8 miles). Take the ramp onto Minnesota Drive North (2.5 miles). Continue on Minnesota Bypass (0.4 miles). Continue on to 1st Street (0.8 miles). Turn left at West 5th Avenue. The hotel is on the right side at 939 West 5th Avenue. Parking at the hotel will range from $18 to $24 per night.

Taxis are available at each terminal. At the South Terminal, the taxi stand is at the ground transportation island, which can be reached via the underground transportation hall or via the pavement outside baggage reclaim. At the North Terminal, the taxi stand is located directly outside the Arrivals hall. Taxi fare one way to the hotel Captain Cook is $18

Rental Car Options. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Hertz, National and Payless are all represented, with desks on the lower level of the South Terminal. The car hire parking lot is located between the Tower and the South Terminal; free airport shuttles travel between the car park and both terminals.
What to Wear
Business casual is recommended for the WALF meeting. The average high in Anchorage in April is 40 degrees and the average low is 25 degrees. Anchorage can receive sizable snowfall even towards the end of April. Snow wear is recommended for added comfort!

The Anchorage Light Speed Planet Walk provides an engaging and outstanding educational experience about our solar system for students, residents and visitors alike. This unique educational and community contribution is a scale model of the solar system based on the speed of light/speed of walking correlation. Log Cabin and Downtown Visitor Information Center
Begin any exploration at the sod-roofed cabin. Friendly, knowledgeable staff can provide brochures, maps and information about anchorage. Open daily, year-round. 4th Ave. & F Street.
Historic City Hall
This two-story building opened in 1936 and once housed all of the city’s municipal services. Today, find a free exhibit of early Anchorage in the lobby.
4th Avenue Market Place
Immerse yourself in Alaskan history with the Historical Timeline walk, browse 20+ shops featuring Alaskan artisans and get whisked across Alaska in the 40 minute film “Alaska the Greatland” at the Alaska Greatland” at the Alaska Experience Theatre with its 3 story high wraparound screen.
