Registration Information

All attendees must register in advance for the Forum Annual Meeting. The registration fee is waived for each Forum member’s official representative. All others must pay the appropriate fees listed below.

The registration deadline for all attendees is March 12, 2024.

COVID Safety Protocols

The Forum requires individuals to adhere to any state or county mandates in place at the time of the annual meeting.

Currently, there is no indoor masking requirement in Honolulu, HI. Masks remain recommended indoors in public settings, and in private settings as well, for individuals at a high risk of severe outcome, which includes older people and those with underlying health conditions. Any state or county mandate in place at the time of the Annual Meeting will be strictly upheld and enforced.

We plan to have hand sanitizer and disposable masks available for any attendees who would like some.

We ask that you do not attend the event if you are ill and/or have recently been exposed to COVID-19.

We will continue to closely monitor all guidelines and regulations and will update safety protocols as appropriate.

**Please note, we will not refund registration fees for attendees who do not comply with any state or county requirements.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

A cancellation request must be received in writing prior to March 12, 2024, in order to receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations after the March 12th deadline. WICHE/the Forum is not responsible for canceling hotel reservations.

Accommodations

Meeting attendees are required to make their own reservations for flights to Hawaii and for the Outrigger Reef Hotel. You can make your hotel reservations by doing the following:

ONLINE: Please make your room reservations by clicking HERE. This is the unique link for meeting attendees to reserve discounted rooms within our block. Rooms begin at $319/night.

PHONE: You can call the Outrigger Reed Hotel at (866) 956-4262. Please let them know you are part of the Forum 2023 Meeting.

The deadline for reserving a room within the Forum’s block is Tuesday, March 12, 2024 unless the block fills sooner.

Airport Information

Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, also known as Honolulu International Airport, is the main and largest airport in Hawaii, and is located approximately 9 miles from the Outrigger Reef.

Transportation

For airport transportation our hotel recommends SpeediShuttle.

Taxi fare is approximately $50 between the airport and the hotel.

Dress

Dress for the meeting is business casual. The average temperature in Honolulu in April has highs in the 80s and lows in the 70s.

Local Attractions

Hawaiʻi’s museum of natural and cultural history, the Bishop Museum was originally designed to house the extensive collection of Hawaiian artifacts and royal family heirlooms of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop.

Located in Downtown Honolulu across the street from the ʻIolani Palace and State Capitol, the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum Hawaiʻi (HISAM) is dedicated to exhibiting and interpreting the art and culture of Hawaiʻi.

Located near Downtown Honolulu, the Honolulu Museum of Art has steadily grown to become Hawaiʻi’s largest private presenter of visual arts programs, boasting a permanent collection of over 38,000 works of art from cultures around the world. You can also take a tour of Shangri La, one of Hawaiʻi’s most architecturally significant homes.

Pearl Harbor is the largest natural harbor in Hawaiʻi and the only naval base in the United States to be designated a National Historical Landmark. Explore the living museums of one of Oʻahu’s most well known landmarks at the Pacific Historic Parks, the USS Arizona Memoria, the Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, the Pacific Aviation Museum and the USS Oklahoma Memorial.
