College Access Challenge Grant Consortium and Network

WICHE's College Access Challenge Grant Network joined members of SREB's GO Alliance for a joint meeting November 30 and December 1, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. CACG project leaders from 19 states met to discuss their college access work in the context of continued economic uncertainty. Participants shared new developments and strategies for branding and advocating for college access, designing data-driven FAFSA completion programs, and boosting completion by adults with prior college credit. While the future of the College Access Challenge Grant program may be uncertain due to ongoing federal budget debates, project directors are continuing to emphasize development of sustainable programs to help low-income students enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
