Conclusion

         Because the provision of student services via the Internet is increasing and changing so rapidly, this Guide to Developing Online Student Services has a short shelf life.  It will be removed from the Western Cooperative for Educational Telecommunications’ Web site in September, 2001.  For the next year, however, it should provide a valuable tool to help institutions interested in developing or improving online services.
