Quadrant Priority Exercise

Dowload this form as a Word document

This exercise can be helpful in prioritizing work to be done. List the possible services or activities within a service your institution is considering. Assign two rankings, from 1 to 4, with 1 being the lowest, for each service/activity to evaluate HOW WELL your institution does the service/activity and HOW IMPORTANT it is to your institution. Plot the list number of the service/activity in the quadrant below along the axes according to the rankings.

An example is shown below in gray.

Your institution may want to focus on the activities that fall in the bottom right quadrant — those that are important but are not done well.

In the example, numbers 3, 6, and 7 are the most imporant but not done well so they would be the priorities.
