Scenario 21: Advisor reaffirms long-range plan with student
Goal		Advisor and student are assured of satisfactory academic progress
Pre-Conditions		Student has made an appointment with the advisor, and is present either physically or virtually Advisor has verified satisfactory progress with the student in his/her current semester Advisor has checked student’s academic progress to determine his/her status. Advisor has reviewed student’s record to determine what courses are still needed
Step #	Initiating or Other Actor		Advising System
1.	Advisor requests student academic profile, academic records, non-academic records
2.			System supplies requested data, including any existing deficiencies
3.	Advisor requests degree requirements
4.			System supplies requested data, including any remediation (retakes, etc.) required by existing deficiencies
5.	Advisor & student review records, summarize progress, match against remaining requirements, confirm student’s continuing interest & ability in continuing current path. Advisor posts appropriate notes to file
6.			System updates files based upon additional input
7.	Both student and advisor have access to records affirming approval to continue on current long-range plan
Post-Conditions		Student & advisor have verified appropriateness of long-range plan
