Welcome to the Ferris State University on-line application for admission. This page has the instructions on how to fill out the forms and what information you will need before you start.
Information you will need before you start:
Information about you, (name, address, social security number, etc.).
Name and address of a relative.
The Ferris College (division) you wish to enter.
The degree type (associate, baccalaureate, etc.) that you are seeking.
The name of the degree or program that you want.
If you don't know which program you want or where it is located, you can look at the colleges and what they offer, look at the catalog, or search the Ferris Web site to find the information.
Instructions for filling out the application form:
You will need to click on the fill-in space on any screen before you can enter information.
Once the cursor is positioned in a fill-in space the Tab and Shift-Tab key can be used to move from one space to another.
Some of the fill-in spaces will accept more information than is displayed on the screen, just keep typing. The arrow keys can be used to move back and forth in the space.
Some parts of the form will have drop-down menus that are activated by clicking on the little down arrow next to the fill-in space.
Some parts of the form will have radio buttons that are activated by clicking on them. Only one radio button in a group may be activated at a time.
Some parts of the form will have multi-line text boxes. Please put just one course or one college name on each line. Press the enter key to move to a new line within the text box.
Press the Next Page button to move to the next part of the application.
Check the accuracy of each page before pressing the Next Page button.
As you progress through the application, the information that you have provided on previous pages is displayed at the bottom of the current page.

If you do make a mistake, the error can be corrected--but it is a pain, so be careful. You can correct an error by using your browser's back arrow key to go back to the screen where you entered the data and then make the changes. However, do not use the forward arrow key to go to where you left off. You must use the Next Page button and redo the rest of the screens. (We said it was a pain!) Please check each completed screen before proceeding to the next screen.
