Marshall L. Lind (Alaska) is a WICHE commissioner and chancellor emeritus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks; he served as chancellor from 1999 until spring 2004. From 1987 to 1999, he was chancellor of the University of Alaska Southeast and was the commissioner for the Alaska Department of Education from 1971 to 1983 and again from 1986 to 1987. He was appointed to the WICHE Commission in 1998. Lind has also served on various committees, including the National Adult Education Council and the executive board of the Council of Chief State School Officers.
