Roderick G. W. Chu (Ohio) is chancellor emeritus of the Ohio Board of Regents, having served from 1998 to 2006, the longest-serving chancellor in Ohio's history. He is a trustee of the College Board and in 2006-07 served as Interim President of the Executive Commission of the States, having formerly been a member of ECS’s steering and executive committees and its National Commission on the Arts in Education. He is a past president of the State Higher Education Executive Officers and a member of the Midwest Higher Education Commission, Ohio's Third Frontier Commission, the Governor's Workforce Policy Board, and many other organizations. He was also a member of the Ohio's Educator Standards Board and the Governor's Commission on Higher Education and the Economy, and was a senior staff member on the Governor's Commission on Student Success and Commission on Teaching Success. His professional experience includes service as the Commissioner of Taxation and Finance for New York State and worldwide managing partner - government practice, for Accenture, the management-consulting and technology-services firm. A native of New York City, Chu holds a B.S. in mathematics and physics from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. with distinction from Cornell University.
