System Offices, State Agenices, and Higher Education Consortia
Consortia Memberships – ICE offers consortia in the following categories the opportunity to participate in WICHE ICE.
-
System membership –defined as the typical state-wide grouping of institutions with a common governance or oversight Board, though the System does not offer online courses or programs and really serves only as a conduit for information about ICE to the participating System campuses. This membership allows a single seat at the Board table, but imposes no workload or data input/management on the ICE database. Dues: $2,500.
-
System Consortium Membership – defined as an electronic system Consortium that has a single legal interface with the ICE program that mirrors a single institutional membership interface. The consortium must have been formally established in System policy specifically to coordinate and serve as a single storefront for online course delivery on behalf of all System member campuses. There must be a formal single tuition level for any course offered through the Consortium, as the Consortium is represented as the provider of the ICE course(s), and as the single interface with ICE and other member institutions. Dues: $7,500
-
System Virtual Campus Membership – defined as meeting all of the above criteria and characteristics of a consortium, except that the Virtual Campus is the legal entity that enrolls the student and grants the degree or certificate on behalf of its members campuses for those programs offered in an electronic environment. Courses are available from all member campuses of the System and are offered and controlled under the legal standing of the virtual entity. The Virtual Campus serves as the single interface with ICE and other member institutions Dues: $7,500
Campus and Consortia Membership Outside WICHE States – ICE welcomes the participation of campuses and consortia located in states outside the WICHE jurisdiction.
-
Non-WICHE State Membership – defined as any System, Consortium, Virtual, or individual Campus that is not in a dues paying member state of WICHE. The membership fee includes 10% of the annual WICHE state dues (currently $120K) or $12,000 plus the WICHE ICE membership cost associated with the appropriate membership status being sought (see above). Dues: $12,000 base plus the cost of the campus or system membership.
