The WICHE Mental Heallh Program assembled a consultation team of professionals with expertise in the development and operation of secure psychiatric facilities. Team members possessed both clinical and operations experience, and were familiar wilh operations in low-density/low population rural western states. The work consisted of background research, on-site analysis, and draft report preparation. The initial effort focused upon providing the division with a quick assessment of feasibility options to support future state efforls in this area.
