Appropriations

Arizona, Idaho, New Mexico, Washington, and four-year institutions in Wyoming received FY 98-99 appropriations that exceeded those of the prior year by at least 5 percent; appropriations in South Dakota and Utah surpassed those from FY 96-97 by 4 to 5 percent.

None of the western states in this issue of Policy Insights saw a decline in their FY 98-99 appropriation from the FY 97-98 level.
