On February 5, 2004, a legislative reception at the Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe followed the presentation of a memorial of appreciation to WICHE in the Senate chambers. On hand for the presentation were David Longanecker, Senator Manny Aragon, Majority Floor Leader; Patricia Sullivan, WICHE Commissioner; Senator Dede Feldman, WICHE Commissioner; Dr. Letitia Chambers, NM Commission on Higher Education Executive Director; Lieutenant Governor Diane Denish, President of the Senate and Honorary Chair of the WICHE anniversary celebration; and Senator Mary Jane Garcia, Majority Whip.
